EMQL joins the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Quantum Communications

The UK national agenda in quantum technology is moving into its second 5-year phase, with all four quantum hubs receiving renewed funding. Having previously been a partner, our lab is now a full member of the Quantum Communications Hub led by the University of York — their press release for the new phase can be found here.

Our role will be primarily in quantum networking, in collaboration with the University of Bristol and Sheffield University, but we’re also involved in a major cross-hub effort towards a UK-led space quantum communication program.

We’re currently advertising two postdoctoral positions in quantum networking and entanglement-based space QKD. Links to the job ads and application forms can be found here.
